THE 2022 SWEDISH AEROPRESS CHAMPIONSHIP IS BACK!
The Swedish Aeropress Championship is finally back. Produced by Ordna Event Agency and hosted by Espresso Gear in late summer in Gothenburg, this year’s event is going to be the biggest event of the Swedish Coffee Community’s calendar.
On 3 September 2022, 27 baristas will compete in a knockout tournament to see who will be crowned the Swedish Aeropress Champion and fly to Vancouver to represent Sweden in the World Championship later this year.
In the first Aeropress event in Sweden since before the pandemic, the focus is on bringing together the community again and encouraging as many new competitors as possible. To support this goal, all competitor places (as well as entry to the event) will be free courtesy of our friends at Oatly. In addition to making it totally free to compete, Oatly will be offering 3 lucky baristas from around Sweden travel and accommodation to come and compete in the competition in Gothenburg in September.
REGISTER TO COMPETE
Aeropress is one of the most fun barista competitions out there. All you need is an Aeropress and you’re ready to go. Each competitor will be sent a competition kit 2 weeks prior to the event including a bag of the Mystery Competition Coffee from Morgon Coffee Roasters. You can use this bag to practice and dial in your recipe. You will also receive 15min practice time before the event begins to calibrate your recipe to the local conditions and to ease those competition day nerves. The focus is on having fun and brewing a consistently delicious cup of coffee. Good luck!
Registration is 100% free, courtesy of our friends at Oatly. There are 27 competition spaces offered on a first-come, first-served basis (först till kvarn). Once you have registered you will be sent a competitor’s form. ONLY once that is complete will you be confirmed to compete. If you do not fill in the competitor form before the deadline, your spot will be offered to someone else.

Food
There will be delicious vegetarian and vegan food for free for attendees courtesy of Borgskogs and made possible from our friends at Oatly.
Drinks
There will be both alcoholic and non alcohol drinks on offer at the event.
Brew Bar
We will have a Brew Bar featuring some amazing equipment and coffee from the best roasters from all around Sweden. Made possible thanks to our friends at rRebel.
Transportation
The venue is easily accessible from Gothenburg via bus. The bus stop is approximately 100m from the venue.
Take the X2 bus from Järntorget to Uggledal.
Price: 34kr each way.
The venue is on ground level with easy access for wheelchairs or other mobility restricted patrons.

Attendance is 100% free courtesy of our wonderful hosts and event partners. However, capacity is limited and tickets will be required to enter the event. If you cannot make the event, please let us know so we can offer the ticket to someone else.
